Mr. BUTLER LLOYDasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether his attention has been called to the difficulty owners of heavy horses (stallions) are experiencing in making arrangements for the travelling of their horses for the coming season in consequence of their men having joined the Army; and will he arrange that such of these men as are still in training be released for a few weeks for this purpose?
§ Mr. ACLANDYes, Sir, the attention of the Department has been called to this difficulty, and we are in communication with the War Office on the subject. I hope that suitable arrangements to meet the difficulty will be approved before very long.
