54. Mr. E. HARVEYasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has been in communication with the Royal Commission on the Sugar Supply in order to secure improvement in the method by which sugar is apportioned to the wholesale dealers, with a view to regularising the supply to retail sellers; and whether he can indicate the possibility of any new Regulations to deal with the matter?
Mr. RUNCIMANI have no reason to suppose that the arrangements made by the Royal Commission for the distribution of sugar among the wholesale dealers are other than satisfactory, but if my hon. Friend will furnish me with particulars of any cases in which there are grounds for complaint of unfair distribution I shall be glad to consult the Royal Commission in regard to them.
