Mr. BARLOWasked the President of the Board of Trade what the position of the Registration of Firms Bill is; whether he is aware of the anxiety of many traders in the country that that Bill should become law; and whether steps can be taken to secure its being passed into law during the present Session?
Mr. HARCOURTThe Registration of Firms Bill is at present before a Select Committee of the House of Lords. With 849 regard to the future prospects of the Bill, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Munitions to the hon. Member for Inverness Burghs on the 30th March last.
