Sir H. SAMUEL(by Private Notice): I beg to ask the Secretary of the Local Government Board whether it is proposed to appoint an Advisory Committee to assist in the administration of the scheme prepared by the Military Service (Civil Liabilities) Committee for enabling men joining the Colours to meet their civil liabilities; and, if so, whether he is in a position to make any announcement on the subject.
§ Mr. HAYES FISHERYes, Sir. In. order to secure uniformity of administration, and to standardise decisions upon the applications which will be received under the scheme, it is proposed to refer questions of principle and cases of doubt or difficulty which may arise to an Advisory Committee. I am glad to say that we have succeeded in constituting a very influential Committee, consisting of twenty-three members, of whom fourteen are Members of this House.
