HC Deb 01 June 1916 vol 82 cc2889-90
38. Mr. PERKINS

asked the Minister of Munitions whether the Central Control Board has yet considered certain representations on the subject of restricted hours of business in the districts of Ringwood, Fordingbridge, and Lymington, Hants, which were made to it in March last on behalf of the licensed traders of these localities; and whether, in limiting the hours of consumption of alcoholic liquors, the Control Board appreciates that any distinction should be made between areas where munitions are produced or soldiers are quartered, and such purely rural areas as parts of the New Forest, where there are neither?

Colonel LEE

As my hon. Friend said in reply to a question on the 18th May, the application of the Order in question to the different types of districts which are affected by it is receiving special consideration, and I am not at present in a position to add anything to the answer he then gave.
