HC Deb 31 July 1916 vol 84 c2074
81. Mr. BARNES

asked the Minister of Munitions if he can yet say if the deported engineers from the Clyde can return to their homes on assurances being given; and, if so, if he will indicate the nature of the assurances required?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MUNITIONS DEPARTMENT (Dr. Addison)

The matter is still under consideration, and I regret that I am not yet able to announce my decision. Perhaps my hon. Friend would be good enough to put his question down again for to-morrow.
