§ 2. Sir E. CORNWALLasked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he has any information as to the treatment of the non-commissioned officers and men who fell into Turkish hands at Kut-el-Amara?
§ Lord R. CECILWe have just received a Note from the United States Ambassador enclosing a dispatch from the United States Embassy at Constantinople, in which it is stated that official lists of the Kut prisoners have not yet been furnished by the Ottoman Government; that the United States Consul at Bagdad telegraphed on 26th June that 1,000 prisoners were still at that city too ill or weak to proceed; and that a British staff-sergeant has reported from Angora the arrival of sixty-two prisoners at that place. Outfits of clothing, toilet supplies, and money will be sent to the prisoners as soon as possible.
