§ 33. Mr. BYRNEasked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that Miss French Mullen is still left without her luggage, which was detained at Southampton; and if he will state whether Miss Mullen will be compensated for her loss and inconvenience caused by the withdrawal of her passport?
Mr. SAMUELIf Miss Mullen is with-out her luggage the remedy is in her own hands. She might have brought it with her when she came to London, and may now obtain it, I have no doubt, by applying to the railway authorities at Southampton. The case is not one in which I could recommend the grant of any compensation.
