Mr. WATTasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether his Department, in assessing profits on the letting of furnished houses in the health resorts throughout the country, while refusing these taxpayers the advantage of the averaging principle on three years' profits, allows them the choice of the previous year's profits for assessment; and, if not, can he arrange that they are given such, in view of the condition of these health resorts since the War?
