HC Deb 05 July 1916 vol 83 cc1511-2
96. Mr. GINNELL

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether he is yet in a position to supply a complete list of the seventy-one civilian prisoners, including women, shot without trial at Richmond Barracks, Dublin, after the suppression of the insurrection, and hastily buried without identification; the number shot and hastily buried at Portobello Barracks; the number shot and buried in cellars in the North King Street area; the number shot in Eden Quay and district; and, if the names of all are not yet available, whether he will supply those so far ascertained?

Mr. TENNANT

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer he received from my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister on the 3rd July. I have nothing to add to the answer already given.

Mr. GINNELL

Will not inquiry be made into any of these cases except through the military authorities who are accused?

Mr. TENNANT

No, Sir; all inquiries are made through the military authorities.
