§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD OF ADMIRALTY (Dr. Macnamara)The allowances mentioned are those payable under Admiralty Regulations. They are based on the workmen's rates of pay. The rates of allowance have been fully considered, and no alteration therein is proposed. My hon. Friend seems to think that a new rule as to these allowances has been introduced in connection with the transfer of men from the south to the north. That is not so.
