HC Deb 12 January 1916 vol 77 c1583
26. Mr. CHANCELLOR

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether, at the recruiting offices under the Derby scheme now reopened, attestation forms will be provided for volunteers for the Territorial Force; whether Territorials can attest under the group system; and, if not, what means should now be adopted by men of military age desirous of joining that Force?

Mr. TENNANT

There will not, of course, be any separate group system for Territorials, but those men who wish to go into the Territorial Force can state their wish and, if vacancies exist, they will as far as possible be sent to the units they name.

Mr. CHANCELLOR

Will the Territorial form be issued?

Mr. TENNANT

Inasmuch as there is only one form of recruiting, I do not think the forms will be different.
