HC Deb 12 January 1916 vol 77 c1593
30. Mr. HOGGE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he is now in a position to give any particulars of the action taken by the War Office as a result of the inquiry into matters connected with the British Empire Committee?

Mr. TENNANT

As my hon. Friend is, I think, already aware, the officer commanding the battalion was, as a result of the inquiry, called upon to resign his commission.

Mr. HOGGE

Has anything been done to the contractors who were guilty?

Mr. TENNANT

No, Sir.

Mr. HOGGE

Why not?
