HC Deb 11 January 1916 vol 77 c1422
2. Mr. KING

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what islands in the Ægean, if any, are now held by Italy; and if any negotiations or proposals concerning the future of such islands have arisen since the outbreak of the War in August, 1914?

Sir E. GREY

The same islands in the Ægean as were in Italian occupation before the outbreak of War are still occupied by Italy. I cannot make any statement as to communications that may have passed between any of the Allies respecting future territorial arrangements.
