HC Deb 10 January 1916 vol 77 c1267
18. Mr. TICKLER

asked the Secretary to the Admiralty if he is aware that the men serving on the mine-sweepers at the Dardanelles, who left Grimsby on 10th August, 1914, have not been allowed leave to visit their wives and families; and if he can arrange for leave to be given and arrangements made for their doing so?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the ADMIRALTY (Dr. Macnamara)

Many of the men referred to have been sent home, and arrangements are being made, subject to the requirements of the Service, to relieve those remaining of the crews who have been out the whole time.
