HC Deb 06 January 1916 vol 77 cc1111-2
10. Mr. BYRNE

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will consider the advisability of appointing a committee of inquiry to investigate the cause of the continued increase in the cost of bread and coal in Ireland?

It seems improbable that any new light would be thrown on the cause of the increases referred to by the suggested investigation, which, were it deemed necessary, would come within the jurisdiction of the Board of Trade.
