HC Deb 23 February 1916 vol 80 c664
2. Mr. KING

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether the Admiralty still retains the services of the person or persons who have devised the offensive/ defensive methods which have been effectively employed against the so-called enemy submarine blockade; and whether he can now, with due regard to naval interests, disclose further facts as to the results of the means taken to overcome the enemy submarine menace?

Mr. BALFOUR

As far as I am aware, all the officers who have contributed to schemes of anti-submarine warfare are still in the service of the Admiralty. As regards the second part of the question, nothing, I think, can be usefully said.
