asked if the inaction of the Censor with reference to incitement to shoot German prisoners of war, published in a London newspaper, does not signify tacit approval of that policy by the Government, will he say what action has been taken to divest it of that character?

Mr. SAMUEL

I do not know to what article the hon. Member refers. No such article has been passed by or submitted to the Press Bureau. The suggestion in the question is, of course, quite unfounded and, I may be permitted to say, most reprehensible.

Mr. GINNELL

Does the right hon. Gentleman deny or has he not seen a letter published in the "Daily Mail" to this effect?

Mr. SAMUEL

No, Sir, I have not seen it and I was not aware of it.

Mr. GINNELL

You ought to have seen it.
