HC Deb 14 December 1916 vol 88 c820
53. Mr. O'DONNELL

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether complaints have been made in the South of Ireland owing to the preferential method of distributing sugar; who are the distributing agents for Kerry; and what steps he proposes to take to secure that all traders are given their proportionate and due share?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the FOOD CONTROL DEPARTMENT (Captain Bathurst)

The question of the proper distribution of sugar is at the moment engaging the careful attention of the Food Controller. He is naturally not in a position to make any announcement of the policy on the matter at the present moment, but hopes to be able to do so at an early date.
