Mr. ANDERSONasked the Minister of Munitions whether he is aware that David Kirkwood, one of the Glasgow deportees, has been elected as a delegate to attend the annual conference of the Labour party, receiving more votes than the combined vote of the other fourteen candidates; and whether, in these circumstances, any obstacles will be placed in the way of his attending this conference either by the Ministry of Munitions or by the military authorities?
Mr. PRIMROSEI am aware that David Kirkwood has been elected as a delegate to attend the annual conference of the Labour party. I propose to answer the point raised in the latter part of my hon. Friend's question on Thursday, when I reply generally on the subject of the deportees in reply to a question asked by my right hon. Friend the Member for the Blackfriars Division of Glasgow.
