asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether, seeing that the Treasury have just recently sanctioned 1866 an increase of pay both to the temporary men and women employed in Government Departments, he can now see his way to give an increase of pay to men of the abstractor class who are feeling the burden of the increased cost of living?
