§ 52. Captain C. BATHURST
asked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been called to a Yellow Book recently issued by the Board of Agriculture describing the agricultural development of 1218 Germany and showing, by comparison with German methods and statistics, the serious under-production of human food on the land of the United Kingdom; and whether, in view of the peril to the nation disclosed thereby, the Government propose to take any steps to stimulate greater food production at home?
§ The PRIME MINISTER
The Government have instituted inquiries as to what methods should be adopted for increasing home-grown food supplies in the interest of national security after the War.
§ Mr. OUTHWAITE
