HC Deb 08 August 1916 vol 85 cc871-2
84. Mr. R. GWYNNE

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether tradesmen who use a motor cycle with a side-car for delivering their goods are entitled to 60 per cent, of the petrol demanded, or whether they will be merely treated as private individuals using motor cycles?

Mr. HARCOURT

Provided that proper returns have been made, tradesmen who need petrol for motor cycles constructed or adapted solely for the conveyance of goods are being granted licences for 60 per cent, of their stated requirements.
