HC Deb 08 August 1916 vol 85 c856
35. Mr. MacCALLUM SCOTT

asked the Secretary for Scotland whether any progress has been made in the efforts to secure the release of labour for the completion of the construction work of the Hairmyres Sanatorium, at which the Middle Ward Committee of the Lanarkshire County Council has pledged itself to afford accommodation for discharged tuberculous soldiers and to train them for outdoor occupation?

The SECRETARY for SCOTLAND (Mr. Tennant)

Yes, Sir; I am glad to be able to inform my hon. Friend that the answer is in the affirmative. Additional workmen have already been obtained, and it is anticipated that the number will shortly be increased.
