§ 23. Mr. BYRNEasked the Secretary of State for War if he can make arrangements to allow the public the use of the Bull Wall and Dollymount Sands, Dublin, for the remainder of the summer and autumn this year; if he is aware that Dollymount is the seaside resort of the workers of Dublin and is now closed to the public by the military authorities; and if, without any inconvenience to the military authorities, he will grant this concession to the citizens?
§ Mr. FORSTERThe indiscriminate use of Dollymount Sands by the public is not practicable owing to considerations of safety, in view of the proximity of the rifle range. They are, however, now open to the public on Saturdays after 1 p.m. and all day on Sundays. The public are allowed the use of the Bull Wall at all times on production of a pass which can be obtained on application to the Commandant of the Musketry Camp.
§ Mr. BYRNECould the hon. Gentleman make arrangements for the Bull Wall to be used by the public during a portion of the time it is not in use by the military authorities?
§ Mr. FORSTERThe public are allowed to use the Bull Wall at all times on production of a pass which can be obtained, I think, without difficulty.
