HC Deb 02 August 1916 vol 85 c290
16. Mr. THOMAS

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that an item of £3 17s. 6d. for repair to post-corporal's bicycle and over £20 for the installation of baths have been charged against the ration allowance of the Yorkshire National Reservists stationed at Eastcote Camp; that one day a week these men are served with biscuits instead of bread, which they are unable to eat owing to the condition of their teeth, and consequently this has become known as fast day, and that no steps have been taken to change their blankets, which they have already had for over seven months; and whether he will have inquiries made into these matters?

Mr. FORSTER

I am having inquiry made, and will inform my hon. Friend of the result in due course.
