HC Deb 02 August 1916 vol 85 cc286-7
29. Mr. CROOKS

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether, in the case of a man who purchased his discharge from the Army before the War and has since rejoined, any refund is made by the War Office?

Mr. FORSTER

Yes, Sir; soldiers who purchased their discharges since 31st March, 1893, are, if they rejoined during the War, eligible for refunds of one-half to two-thirds of the purchase money, according to the circumstances of the individual cases.

Mr. CROOKS

To whom should they apply?

Mr. FORSTER

I should like notice.
