HC Deb 02 August 1916 vol 85 c284
10. Mr. JOWETT

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in the event of the Local Government Board promising to institute an inquiry into the case of Mr. W. H. Thompson, solicitor, of Longton, he will cause instructions to be given that Mr. Thompson shall not be arrested as an absentee until the result of such inquiry has been decided?

Mr. FORSTER

I understand that my right hon. Friend the President of the Local Government Board will reply to Question No. 39 on the Paper, which deals with this case.
