§ 69. Colonel YATEasked the Postmaster-General whether his attention has been drawn to the report of the annual meeting of the Fawcett Association and to the fact that the central committee of the association voted £10 to assist those of their members who objected to military service; and whether he will adopt measures to put a stop to this condition of things in the postal service?
§ The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. J. Pease)I am not responsible for the way in which Post Office servants choose to spend their money.
§ Colonel YATEIs not this Fawcett Association a purely postal organisation, and is not its report published in the "Post Office Journal"?
§ Mr. PEASEAs far as I am aware the members of the Fawcett Association are exclusively members of the Post Office. I believe they do send the reports of their meetings to the "Post Office Journal "At the same time I cannot control the way in which they spend their money.
§ Colonel YATEWill not the right hon. Gentleman signify his disagreement with them for spending their money on conscientious objectors?
