asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will consider the possibility of granting a uniform to chaplains in the Navy, in view of the fact that the absence of uniform is often inconvenient to chaplains when on shore, especially in a military port or doing duty on a hospital ship?

Dr. MACNAMARA

The matter has already been fully considered, and it is thought that the reasons against outweigh any possible advantage which might be gained from the proposal.
