HC Deb 21 September 1915 vol 74 c314
63. Sir EDWIN CORNWALL

asked the President of the Local Government Board what success has been obtained in the registration recently taken under the Act; when the House will be given full information as to the results of such registration; and whether it will be consulted as to the use to be made of the information thus acquired?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. Hayes Fisher)

My right hon. Friend has reason to believe that the registration has been very successfully carried out. Returns from almost all the Registration Authorities in this country have been received. The question of publishing the results of the registration must be governed by considerations of public interest, and I cannot at present state what information it may be found desirable to announce to the House.
