§ 23. Mr. W. THORNEasked the Under-Secretary of State for War if he can state how many Belgian refugees there are in this country of military age who have not joined the Belgian Army?
§ Mr. TENNANTNo, Sir, this information is not in the possession of the War Office, and, if I had the information, I am not sure that it would properly fall within my duty to give it.
§ Mr. THORNEIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that there are great numbers of Belgian refugees of military age in this country, and does he not think that in view of what we do they should be compelled to join their own army?
§ Mr. TENNANTThat is entirely a matter for the Belgian Government.
