§ The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. McKenna)In so far as the letting of houses or the collection of rents constitute a business within the meaning of Clauses 34 (1) and 35 of the Finance Bill any excess profits that may be made in the course of such a business would come within the scope of the Excess Profits Tax.
