HC Deb 13 October 1915 vol 74 c1286
12. Mr. GINNELL

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if, to show how the Estates Commissioners have contributed to the increase of food production in Ireland, he will state the number of new holdings formed from untenanted grass land that they have vested in purchasers during the twelve months ending 30th September last and the average number of the same class of holdings vested by the Commissioners yearly during the preceding ten years?

Mr. BIRRELL

I am informed by the Estates Commissioners that the number of parcels of untenanted land vested by them as separate holdings during the twelve months ended 30th September last was 451, the average number of the same class of holdings vested yearly during the ten years ended 31st March last being 374.
