HC Deb 13 October 1915 vol 74 c1278
1. Mr. GINNELL

asked the Secretary to the Admiralty the value of the Admiralty contracts placed in Great Britain and in Ireland, respectively; and the respective percentages of the whole during the first twelve months of the War?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the ADMIRALTY (Dr. Macnamara)

I fear I can only refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to him on 24th June last to the effect that to furnish the information desired would entail more labour than could be spared at the present time. I may, perhaps, remind my hon. Friend of the answer which I gave to the hon. Member for St. Stephen's Green on the 4th May, a copy of which I sent him on a previous occasion. That indicates the varied nature of the supplies which we obtain from Irish firms.
