§ 106. Mr. SNOWDENasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in regard to the war register of women, and the entrance of numbers of new women into industry, he is prepared to set up an advisory committee, which would include representatives of the organised women workers, to give counsel and assistance as to safeguards and conditions respecting the transference of women from one trade or district to another?
Mr. RUNCIMANI have, as promised, given careful consideration to the proposal referred to by my hon. Friend. The Department is in constant communication with representatives of various women's organisations on matters connected with 2341 the War Register for Women, and I am of opinion that at present this procedure is preferable to the constitution of a formal committee.
