Colonel YATEasked the Under-Secretary of State for War if ex-non-commissioned officers of the Army Pay Corps have been refused employment in the Army Pay Department and Army Pay Corps, while young men of military age, but without any previous service in the Army or knowledge of military accounts, have been taken on; and if he will cause inquiries to be made into the matter with a view to the remedying of such a state of affairs?
Mr. BAKERI am not aware of any suitable applicant being refused employment. Perhaps the hon. and gallant Member will communicate to me the particulars of the cases he has in mind.
