Mr. NEWDEGATEasked the Prime Minister whether he will grant facilities to those retired Civil servants who are willing to do so to resume work in the Departments to which they formerly belonged for the period of the War in order to release any existing Civil servants who are willing to undertake military service if permitted to do so?
§ The PRIME MINISTERThis course has already been adopted in a number of instances, and it is open to retired Civil servants to make application to the heads of their late Departments should they wish to return to duty.
