Mr. WATTasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is dispensing shortly with the services of valuers who have been working at valuations in Scotland for his Department; whether he is aware that the ordinary work of such men, who are largely architects, measurers, and builders, is practically non-existent at the present crisis; and whether he will explain why at this juncture valuations are to be discontinued?
§ Mr. ACLANDI would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which my right hon. Friend gave on the 20th ultimo to my hon. Friend the Member for Haggerston, which applies to England and Scotland alike.
