HC Deb 04 May 1915 vol 71 c960
37. Mr. CROOKS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether, in the Royal Field Artillery special reserve of officers, there is rank senior to captain; and will he state what promotions have been made in the above of captains, first and second lieutenants, since August last?

Mr. TENNANT

Under a recent decision promotion can be made to the rank of major, and this will give a considerable amount of additional promotion in the lower ranks. I am informed that three second lieutenants have been promoted to be lieutenants and three lieutenants to be captains in the period mentioned.
