HC Deb 04 March 1915 vol 70 cc973-4
74 and 75. Mr. HOGGE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War (1) whether General Woollcombe ever informed the chairman of the British Empire Committee at any time to continue the hutting contract with Mr. Devereux; and (2) whether the War Office instructed the colonel commanding the British Empire Royal Fusiliers (City of London) to continue the food contract with Mr. Devereux.

Mr. TENNANT

These matters are under consideration, and until they have been investigated I can make no statement. The inquiry may take some time.

Mr. HOGGE

If I raise this question on the Adjournment on Monday, will the right hon. Gentleman be able to reply?

Mr. TENNANT

I hope so.
