§ Mr. TENNANTIn many cases foundations have not been prepared, and the huts being supported on creosoted posts driven into the ground. In the other cases the huts rest on brick or concrete pillars.
§ Mr. WHELERMay I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether he is aware that the huts are placed so close to the ground that 646 a great deal of draught comes up through the flooring which, owing to the stoves inside, causes an unhealthy atmosphere, and whether something could be done to remedy this state of things?
§ Mr. TENNANTMy attention has not been called to this matter previously, but I will bring it to the attention of the official in charge of these works, and see if anything can be done?
