The SECRETARY for SCOTLAND (Mr. McKinnon Wood)Dr. Becker, into whose case full inquiry was made last autumn, has been Professor of Astronomy at Glasgow since 1893, and in that capacity has charge of the university observatory. He is of German origin, but was naturalised in 1892.
