HC Deb 23 June 1915 vol 72 c1164
26. Mr. FALLE

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he is aware that an advance of wages has been granted to temporary writers employed in His Majesty's dockyards; and if he will give a corresponding advance to all temporary writers employed in War Department establishments?

Mr. FORSTER

The conditions are not identical in the two Services, but the question of the pay of writers in War Department employment is under consideration.

Sir C. KINLOCH-COOKE

If the Government acquiesces in my hon. Friend's suggestion, will they take care that the same invidious distinctions are not made which are now being made in the case of temporary writers?

Mr. FORSTER

The whole question is under consideration.
