HC Deb 23 June 1915 vol 72 c1159
40. Colonel LOWTHER

asked the Minister of Munitions whether the Government will consider the advisability of authorising workmen engaged in the production of munitions of war to wear military uniform?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I should like to consult the leaders of the men and elicit their views on the subject. Some are opposed to it. I cannot for the moment express an opinion, because it has not been sufficiently discussed.
