§ Mr. TENNANTI am aware that a considerable number of tins are being sent to Germany daily addressed to prisoners of war. I understand that 90,000 tins of a dimension of 9 inches each way would be required to produce 1 ton of tin. The matter has been carefully considered, but at present adequate grounds do not appear to exist for stopping the use of tins for sending comforts to the prisoners of war.
