§ 8. Mr. ANDERSONasked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the increase in profit of the King's Norton Metal Company from £37,548 for 1913–14 to £131,097 for 1914–15; whether he has yet found a way, as recommended by the Secretary of State for War, to allow the workers to participate in the benefits automatically accruing to these companies from the War; or whether any scheme has yet been devised and put into operation for the limitation of war profits?
Mr. RUNCIMANThe profits of this company for 1913–14 were as stated in the question, but the Board of Trade have no information as to the profits for the subsequent year. The whole question of the method of limitation of the profits of armament firms is now being considered by the Government.
