HC Deb 07 June 1915 vol 72 cc76-7
39. Mr. HINDS

asked the Prime Minister if the Government will initiate on business lines a scheme that would give traders and others an opportunity of obtaining cover for risks against damage by enemy aircraft, in view of the fact that the regular fire insurance companies decline the business and consequently insurers have to fall back upon Lloyd's, whose underwriters have already underwritten as much as they wish to carry and are asking prohibitive rates and conditions?

The PRIME MINISTER

This question is receiving the consideration of the Government.
