§ 58. Mr. DUNCAN MILLARasked the Secretary for Scotland what financial provision is to be made in connection with the institution of child-welfare centres in Scotland; and when a Grant will be made available for that purpose?
Mr. McKINNON WOODI have been in communication with the Treasury on this subject, and have received assurances that Parliament will be invited to make a Grant not exceeding one-half of approved expenditure. As soon as the necessary conditions have been adjusted, local authorities will be informed. The Grant, which will be placed on next year's Estimates, will extend to approved expenditure incurred during the current year.
