§ 5. Mr. W. THORNEasked the Secretary to the Admiralty whether the Stockton Heath Spade Company, Warrington, has a contract for the supply of material to the Admiralty; that the firm declines to pay workmen engaged in overtime at the proper rate of wages of time and a half and allege that the contract prices allowed do not permit of such remuneration being given, and that the Government agent has refused to revise the contract prices; and if he will have inquiry made, and request 1949 the firm to pay the current rate of wages in accordance with the Fair-Wages Resolution of the House of Commons?
